Every month we will be highlighting our Mission, Vision, Values Quarter Award Winners. This month we will learn more about one of our Quarter One winners: Ezekiel Mose, Site Supervisor in Savage!

How long have you been working at Opportunity Services? 8 years.

Why do you work for Opportunity Services? I delight in the opportunity that Opportunity Services allows me to make a noticeable difference in people’s lives daily.

What five words best describe you? calm, engaging, anticipating, understanding & proactive

Why do you work in the disability field? Did you always know you wanted to work with disabled individuals? Because this is one of the few fields in which what you do has an immediate impact and change on people’s lives. This brings more satisfaction to me than any other thing I do. I have always known that this was my line of work since graduating from college.

Why are you deserving of this MVV award? I do not deserve this award at all! My team in Savage deserves it. It is because of what we do together that, I believe I won. It is as much their award as it is mine.

What’s your favorite thing about Opportunity Services? It is the availing of opportunities available to our clients to experience what we have always taken for granted: to work and function as fully participating members of our community and have fun while doing so, without any limitations.

Do you have any clients that have changed your perspective about people with disabilities? Yes, I have several. Everyone, no matter the disability, can learn something and has something they can contribute to society. They just need the proper support system to do it.

What would you say to someone that doesn’t believe people with disabilities can function as a member of society? This is a position of ignorance. They just need some education. We prove them wrong by doing what we do every day.

Do you have any advice for other employees at Opportunity Services? Give it your full potential, work as a team and create a fun environment while you are at it.

What do you like to do for fun in your free time? Catch up with news from around the world, watch soccer, compose gospel music and sing in the choir.
