OS and the Celebrity Mulligan Golf Tournament in Byron, Minnesota

Opportunity Services will be celebrating the 9th Anniversary of participation in the Celebrity Mulligan Golf Tournament, benefitting The Arc of Southeastern Minnesota in Byron, Minnesota on Monday, July 28. OS clients will be assisting tournament participants at one of the holes. The clients truly enjoy “working” at this event and request to come back year and year! These four clients highlighted below have participated in recent years and would be happy to speak with media for interviews before or after the golf tournament.

Ashley has been with Opportunity Services since her High School Graduation in 2009. She is responsible for organizing Opportunity Services’ participation in the golf tournament. From t-shirt sizes to wrangling volunteers, Ashley enjoys coordinating any and every detail for this event! She is a very good worker and full of energy. In fact, many businesses have requested to have Ashley at their work site! Throughout the year she works at Oxbow Park, the Dorothy Day House, Taher, Comfort Inn and more. Currently, she is looking forward to giving a speech at this year’s golf tournament.

Jenny has been with Opportunity Services since 2005 and is an amazing addition at any work site! Known for her positive attitude, she is always sweet to other clients and OS employees. Although she prefers to work on a hotel work crew, she is up for any task. Jenny is happy knowing that she is working to support herself no matter what work crew she is on. Year after year Jenny participates in the golf tournament because she enjoys spending time with friends outside of a busy workday!

Jamey has been with Opportunity Services since he graduated High School. Currently, he is on the work crew that was hired independently at Walmart South in Rochester. Working at Walmart is Jamey’s first independent job, but he already knows how to act like a pro. His bright personality while he works is sure to put a smile on the faces of Walmart customers! He enjoys working everyday to supporting himself. Don’t miss him at the tournament- he will be responsible for handing out OS Temporary Tattoos at the golf tournament!

Morgan has only been with Opportunity Services for a little over a year, but she has made many positive strides over that short time period. When Morgan started with OS, she only worked one day a week. Now she works five days a week and lives in her own apartment. She enjoys working at the Dorothy Day House, the Comfort Inn and Taher. Morgan’s bright smile and positive attitude are contiguous! She loves saying hello to the golf tournament participants and is excited to participate again in this year’s event!
